Step up from Floating Spade
Taller Port adds Palate Pressure
Mouthpiece applies increased pressure to sides of tongue
Usually Used on Finished/Broke Horses
The Classic Equine 7″ Stainless Cheek Correction Bit is extremely popular with performance riders and trainers of all disciplines. This bit is a step up from the floating spade. This bit is a step up because the taller the port in the mouthpiece the more pressure it creates on the palate. This particular mouthpiece wraps the mouth which applies more pressure on the sides of the tongue. The wrapping effect is also sensed by the corners of the mouth and the bars. The chin pressure results from applied pressured to the curb. This particular bit is not very servere so it is reccomended that it is used in speed events on well broke horses. This kind of bit is good for collection and stopping.
